There are two Cub Packs within 1st Alton Manor Scout Group, Nailers and Spinners. Cubs is open to both girls and boys aged between 8 and 10 ½ although there is a small amount of discretion as decided by the Section Leaders.
Spinners Cub Pack meet on a Monday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm at the Alton Manor Community Centre and Nailers meet at the same time but on a Tuesday evening also at the Alton Manor Community Centre.
Cubs is for boys and girls aged eight to ten and a half years old and can be recognised by their green jumpers usually sporting lots of badges!
There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, exploring, camping, hiking and also things like computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of the Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities, if you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.
